Caring for relatives
Catherine Henry Partners is experienced in assisting clients who have carer’s responsibilities for children, elders and other family members. We assist clients with their applications for parental responsibility and help clients to negotiate appropriate care arrangements which are legally recognised. We also help clients caring for elderly or disabled relatives to apply for guardianship of their loved ones.
 
Retirement living
Catherine Henry Partners recognises that in planning for retirement there are a range of social, legal, health and financial considerations that need to be taken into account. We are experienced in negotiating and documenting retirement living transactions and can put you in touch with other advisors. We can also advise you on your rights and responsibilities when you are considering moving to a retirement village, nursing home, hostel or shared accommodation with your family.

Enduring Guardianship
In NSW there are ways to plan ahead for a loss of *capacity. The most common include the appointment of an enduring power of attorney and/or an enduring guardian and the making of an advance care directive (living will).
